If criminal charges are filed by the police department investigating your child’s case, this can create additional stressors and anxiety for your child and family. Our CAC advocate will guide and support you throughout this process. Our advocate can provide education to you and your child regarding court proceedings and what your child’s role will be in the proceeding. Court preparation sessions can be completed with your child, our advocate, and the assigned prosecutor in order to prepare your child to attend the court hearing, testify (if required to do so), understand the court process and everyone involved, and understand the possible outcomes of the court proceedings (an age appropriate explanation will be provided to your child). 

Our CAC advocate is available to attend court hearings with you and your child and will provide advocacy on your child’s behalf.
