The mission of Circle of Support is to reduce the trauma of child abuse investigations, foster professional collaboration and cooperation, expedite service delivery to victims and provide education and advocacy, regarding the prevention of child abuse, within the community.
Circle of Support Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a safe and child-friendly place where children come to talk with a trained interviewer about possible abuse or a crime they may have witnessed.
The CAC provides a collaborative and child-focused response to the investigation of child abuse cases and treatment/supportive services for victims.
A multidisciplinary team works closely with the CAC during the investigative process, to ensure every child and their
non-offending family members are referred to appropriate services.
Members of our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) include: Forensic Interviewers, Medical Providers, Mental Health Providers, Victim Advocates, Law Enforcement, Children and Youth Services and the District Attorney’s Office, each of whom have specific roles within the collaborative team response to child abuse cases.
